I have never noticed a big difference in the Gen1 vs. Gen2 grip. The difference when using skate board tape or having a "golf ball" textured grip doesn't make much difference in my shooting performance. However, I like the highest possible grip on my STI 2011 guns, and the STI beavertail grip safety helps to get the highest possible grip.Overall, the green seemed to pop more than the red and I will update in the next few days with the other reticle.
