The mailboxes are in Exchange Online. There have been random issues with sending outgoing messages. The messages get stuck in the Outbox. The user attempts the send the messages and they remain stuck. The user closes Outlook and the Outbox messages are deleted with no trace of them in the Sent folder. Any idea what could be the cause? Just recently we have had users having issues with emails getting stuck in their Outbox. They are able to re-send and delete the emails in the Outbox, but this is not ideal. We use Exchange Online in a hybrid scenario, and the users have Outlook 365 installed locally. Recreating Outlook profiles or their Windows profile does not fix the issue.Please click File > Office Account > Update Options and have a check. To isolated if the issue caused by their outlook data files broken, you can try to run outlook data file repair for them and then see if it can make any difference.
