It has a lot of bite and lacks complexity. Taste like malt spirit mixed with sherry and doesn't reflect that 17 age statement. The 15 yo highland is much better IMO. Just picked up 4 bottles of the Islay and one of 12 year old blend at Costco at Willowbrook mall in Wayne New Jersey. I love Lagavullin 16 and this Islay malt is pretty close for my tastes.
