Honestly, for a mod it’s quite good - it’s no replacement for actual NPCs when they’re added but it’s decent enough to play about with. Fair warning - It’s clunky and sometimes very buggy, although my experience has been much better than others. I find keeping spawns to a minimum helps.

Apocalyspe. Makes u a better player in long run. Apocalypse if you can survive on Apocalypse the survivor mode becomes easy. If you do survivor, turn off multihit. Apocalypse is balanced to be the "default" or "canon" difficulty, but play however you want. A CDDA challenge.

Settings for survivors spawn rate is the second lowest so when I find one I of course want them in my group however they won’t get in the RV like with regular cars.
