A 20% speed boost would put you leaps and bounds ahead of people who don't have the opportunity to imprint (let alone breed), and you can forget about wild dinos. This takes a little stress out of having to be there on time for all imprints on official servers, because otherwise you don’t get to 100%, and then you can’t get the full imprint bonus. I would assume that if the hatchling were imprinted to a rider, it would get whatever bonus was given.
