Reset by disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes. As stated above there are usually secondary codes associated with this code. Unfortunately some need the DRBIII ...Escape. Pull the codes before you disconnect the battery. If it went into limp mode then there should be codes. It will help you narrow down the cause. Post those up. It could be many different things. When it does the limp mode crap in an '05 just shift it into neutral and restart..then place it back into drive.

It has happened 3 times since I have owned it. It only occurs if you have to drive it aggressively such as getting out into traffic and such. It has been fixed twice out warranty.
